Last Picture Show

If you know one thing from reading posts made on Lost Americana, the last 30 years have been rough on rural America and if you read anything in the news you probably know that the Internet and stream has made running a movie theater in a big city hard to do.

So even with the best intentions and local pride, small theaters have struggled to stay open or failed after a rehab. The glory days of the picture show may be gone, but I’ve made sure these buildings will live on in photos for years to come.

If you are reading this the week after the 2023 Oscars (march 13th-19th). I'll be posting up different views of some of these same theaters on Lost American social media accounts. Please visit and follow.
